Terms Week #6

1.act -anything done, being done, or to be done; deed; performance: a heroic act.

2.active- engaged in action; characterized by energetic work, participation, etc.; busy: an active life.

3.add-to unite or join so as to increase the number, quantity, size, or importance: to add two cups of sugar; to add a postscript to her letter; to add insult to injury.

4.analyzeto separate (a material or abstract entity) into constituent parts or elements; determine the elements or essential features of (opposed to synthesize): to analyze an argument.

5.answer- a spoken or written reply or response to a question, request, letter, etc.: He sent an answer to my letter promptly.

6.approximate-near or approaching a certain state, condition, goal, or standard.

7.ask-to put a question to; inquire of: I asked him but he didn't answer.

8.apply-to make use of as relevant, suitable, or pertinent: to apply a theory to a problem.
